PNC Bank Statements: How to View, Download, and Export Transactions
PNC bank statements are in the Statements and Documents section of PNC Online Banking and the PNC Mobile app. You can view, save, and print each statement as a PDF, and checking and savings accounts have up to seven years of statements online.
The steps below are based on PNC’s online statements page as of October 2026. This guide is independent and isn’t affiliated with PNC. Menus can change, so check that page if something looks different.
How to view and download PNC statements in Online Banking
- Sign on to PNC Online Banking and select Accounts.
- Choose the account and select Account Quick View.
- Select Statements and Documents.
- Find the statement you need and select View PDF. From there, you can save or print it.
PNC’s customer service pages also describe reaching Statements and Documents through the Profile and Settings icon, under Alerts and Communication.
How to get PNC statements in the PNC Mobile app
- Sign in to the app and tap More in the bottom navigation bar.
- Select Statements and Documents.
- Choose Online statements. Account documents and other documents are listed separately.
- Select the account, then the year, then the statement.
How far back PNC statements go
PNC lists these periods for online statements:
| Account type | Online statements |
|---|---|
| Checking and savings | Up to 7 years |
| Auto loans and unsecured installment loans | Up to 7 years |
| Mortgage and home equity loans | Up to 5 years |
| Credit cards | Up to 4 years |
| Investment accounts | Up to 10 years |
PNC says online statement history may not be available for closed accounts, so download what you need before you close an account. For older statements or a closed account, call PNC at 1-888-PNC-BANK (1-888-762-2265) and ask about copies and any fees.
Images of checks from the last 24 months are available in your transaction history.
Why your statement balance differs from your current balance
A statement is a snapshot of one closed period. Its ending balance is what the account held on the closing date, so it won’t match today’s balance if anything has posted since. Transactions that were still pending on the closing date show up on the next statement instead. If someone needs your balance as of today, a statement may not be the right document; ask what they’ll accept.
Review each statement
Look over each statement when it’s ready. If you see a transaction you don’t recognize, contact PNC promptly. Under federal rules, you generally have 60 days after a statement is sent to report an unauthorized electronic transfer that appears on it, and waiting longer can limit your protection.
Paper statements and fees
PNC says a fee may be assessed if you choose to receive paper statements, and a fee may apply if you request a paper statement in addition to the online version. Check the fee schedule for your account.
To go paperless in Online Banking, select the Profile and Settings icon, then Alerts and Communication, then Paperless. Choose the accounts, select Online, confirm your email address, and save. In the app, go to More > Statements and Documents > Paperless Settings. Paperless statements are turned on account by account.
Exporting PNC transactions to Quicken or QuickBooks
PNC’s Quicken and QuickBooks page says customers can export transactions as a .QFX file for Quicken or a .QBO file for QuickBooks. A QBO file imports directly into QuickBooks Desktop; see our guide to importing bank transactions into QuickBooks Desktop. For the differences between these file types, see QBO vs QFX vs OFX vs QIF vs CSV.
That page doesn’t mention a CSV export. If you want a spreadsheet, our QBO to CSV converter turns PNC’s QuickBooks file into a CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.
Convert a PNC PDF statement to Excel or CSV
For older periods, or to work with exactly what’s on your statement, convert the PDF. Our converter reads a PDF bank statement and exports the transactions to Excel or CSV, with dates, descriptions, and amounts in separate columns.
A few tips:
- Upload the PDF you saved from PNC Online Banking rather than a scan of a paper statement.
- If one PDF covers several accounts, our converter splits them so you can export each account separately.
- Compare the converted totals with the deposits and withdrawals in the statement’s summary.
Keep the original PDF as your official record, and send it unedited if a lender or landlord asks for a statement. For more ways to get statements from any bank, see how to get a bank statement.
