Chase Bank Statement: How to View, Download, and Convert It
You can view and download Chase bank statements on chase.com or in the Chase Mobile app, under Statements & documents. Chase says that, depending on the account type, up to seven years of statements are available online. Each statement opens as a PDF you can save or print.
The steps below follow Chase’s paperless statements page as of October 2026. This guide is independent and isn’t affiliated with Chase. Chase changes its menus from time to time, so check that page if something looks different.

How far back Chase statements go
Chase says you can access up to seven years of statements online, depending on your account type. If a statement you need isn’t listed, contact Chase customer service or visit a branch and ask about copies and any fees that apply.
A new statement appears after each statement period closes. For activity since your last statement, check your account activity, but keep in mind that an activity list isn’t an official statement. Our guide on how to get a bank statement explains the difference and covers closed accounts.
Review each statement when it arrives
Like any bank statement, a Chase statement shows your beginning and ending balances, every transaction that posted during the period, and any fees or interest. Our guide to what a bank statement is explains each section and the transaction codes you’ll see.
Look over each statement soon after it’s ready. If you spot a charge you don’t recognize, contact Chase right away. Under federal rules, you generally have 60 days after a statement is sent to report an unauthorized electronic transfer that appears on it, and waiting longer can limit your protection.
Paper statements
If you’re enrolled in paperless statements and want mailed statements again:
- On chase.com: Open Profile & Settings, select Customize settings under Account Settings, deselect the document types you want mailed under Paperless settings, and save.
- In the app: Open Profile & Settings, go to the Settings tab, open Account settings, choose Paperless, deselect the document types you want mailed, and save.
Going the other way, Chase notes that it may take a month or so for paper statements to stop arriving after you go paperless.
Downloading Chase transactions as CSV, QFX, or QBO
A PDF statement is fine for your records but awkward for budgeting or bookkeeping. Chase also lets you download transaction data through its Spending Planner. According to Chase, on desktop you can download the last two years of data as a spreadsheet (CSV), Quicken Web Connect (QFX), Quicken or Microsoft Money (QIF), or QuickBooks Web Connect (QBO) file. In the app, Chase mentions PDF versions of the last calendar year’s transactions for tax season.
What each file is for:
- CSV opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
- QFX imports into Quicken.
- QBO imports into QuickBooks Desktop. See our guide to importing bank transactions into QuickBooks Desktop.
Download options can change, so check Chase’s site for the current choices before you rely on a particular format.
Convert a Chase PDF statement to Excel or CSV
Transaction downloads only go back so far. For older periods, or when you want the data exactly as it appears on your statement, convert the PDF instead. Our converter reads a PDF bank statement and exports the transactions to Excel or CSV, with dates, descriptions, and amounts in separate columns you can sort, filter, and total. If you keep your books in QuickBooks, our PDF to QBO converter creates a file you can import.
A few tips:
- Download the statement from Chase first, then upload the PDF. A scan or photo of a paper statement is harder to read accurately.
- If one PDF covers several accounts, our converter splits them so you can export each account separately.
- After converting, compare the totals with the statement’s summary to make sure nothing was missed.
Converting creates a copy of your data for your own use. If a landlord or lender asks for your Chase statement, send the original PDF, complete and unedited.
